Red Chirp SMS Campaign Launch

2025 is a year to embrace what’s new in our toolbox. Try new things, test out new technologies, and focus on segmentations within our customer databases are all things every winery needs to focus on this year.  With so many challenges facing the wine industry today, we council our clients to pull their members in tighter than ever. Create new bonds with them, connect with them on different levels and utilize new tools to continue the conversation.

A client of ours wanted to get on the SMS text messaging bandwagon this year, which is amazing. Red Chirp is an incredible tool for connecting with loyal customers in a quick and direct medium that’s very powerful and impactful: the text message.  We started small with micro-segments of the entire potential audience to test our message.  Not a discount promo, but a reminder about the current release that was closing soon. 130 recent buyers from the past 18 months who met a more specific criteria. The result? An additional $3000 in revenue and a customer who wanted to share photos of him and his family enjoying MLB Opening Day with the Houston Astro’s. Not only was revenue generated but multiple connections over SMS with their customers who appreciated the reminder.

Subsequent campaigns grew in audience size over the following months with very targeted and segmented recipient lists so we could be sure we were sending a message that wanted to be received. The result? So far more than $20,000 in additional revenue generated from tailored offerings and promotions that did not include discounting any wine.
